Full Moon in Leo 2/12/25 5:53 am pst

Astrology is a technique for understanding life cycles through their correspondence with our Solar Systems movements. One of the most accessible and immediate cycles to observe is that of our Moon, which symbolically represents subconscious patterning  and instinctual urges.

The phases of the Moon from New Moon to Full and back again can be used to understand patterns of expression in both our outer and inner worlds, allowing for a more conscious and meaningful awareness of events which to happen to and through us.

The great 20th century Astrologer Dane Rudhyar had great insight into the lunation cycle’s expression, giving the Full Moon phase the quality of fulfillment and the development of collective consciousness by bringing up events that make a need for objective thinking and communication abilities.

Moon is now in Zodiacal Leo, whose qualities are described as fixed fire. The element, like all fire signs, can feel alternately idealistic and disappointed, especially if inspired dreams do not come true or, when life or love fails to “show up” according to design.

Leo, like all of the Zodiac’s “fixed” mode signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius,) also expresses as deeply opinionated or stubborn thinking and behaviors.

Leo’s planetary ruler is our Sun, the “King” of our Solar System and with Moon in Sun's natural placement, we can “feel” the qualities of Leo internally.

If you know your Natal chart, find where 24 degrees of Leo is- this where things may come up, as they are illuminated by the Moon.

The lunation makes a T square with Sun/Mercury and “Revelator” Uranus. Out of the blue unseen changes can crack us open, revealing pride and prejudice. Use the objective and understanding light of the Aquarian Sun to find your way though any emotional drama.

The Sabian Symbol for the this lunation is  A LARGE CAMEL CROSSING A VAST AND FORBIDDING DESERT

This Symbol implies the ability to be able to push ahead even in difficult times, going alone and coping even in the most difficult circumstances. It can show someone who’s very self sufficient, or someone with a big journey to complete.

You may find that your situation has been like an arduous journey, but there could still be further to go. It’s important to be confident that you have the reserves to survive and the endurance to succeed.. Self sufficiency and mental self-control are necessary as is a commitment to get to the other side of your issue**

.

This Full Moon, we can also embrace Leo’s big lesson and give our time, energy or attention to others in a lovingly centered way. No strings attached, straight from the heart is best. When we do this, we can radiate health and happiness, as well as gain the approval, love, attention and respect we all crave so deeply.

Full Moon Blessings
